Numeracy

Numeracy and Maths Resources:

Your child will receive work appropriate to their age and stage from their class teacher on google classrooms.  There are some learning materials included in your child’s learning pack and additional learning will be provided in due course.

However, here are some other resources are included below that all children may access on a digital device to support their learning.

Sumdog:

The app can be downloaded from iTunes or Google Play and works on both Apple and Android.

Pupil log in details are included in this pack.

Teachers will be logging on at home to check engagement from children, but will also be setting challenges and assessments for your child to complete when at home.  Sumdog is a great resource as it encourages your children to repeatedly practise skills in a format that they absolutely love.  Again, younger children (P1-3) might need support in not only logging in but also in reading and understanding the questions.

Topmarks:

Certainly one skill that consistently effects self-esteem and access to learning is multiplication knowledge.  Therefore, any practise your child can do for this would be greatly beneficial to them.  The following link is for a game that the children enjoy and can follow quite easily.

It is important to be aware that Topmarks has games for LOTS of different areas of numeracy and maths, so please feel free to explore with your children and try new games and challenges out as much as you can.

Each child has been provided with an Education City Login in their pack.
This will be a new learning resource for most, so children will need your support logging in with this initially.
Teachers will be able to allocate relevant and appropriate literacy, numeracy and science learning to your child through this website.
